Belts Named for one of my favorite clients, the belt is black with tan rolling flowers and uses a black lizard background to bring the laced edges to the forefront. This pattern also looks great in medium to dark brown. Stunning is a word that best describes this color combination. The tooled leather is dark brown with a rich cognac lizard background, and the white stitching perfectly frames the beauty of this pattern. This is a duplicate of a pattern found on a dusty old belt hidden in an attic. The light brown and black tooled background highlight this classic design. This pattern depicts the long travels of Captain John Mullan through the plains and mountains of the west. The flowing leaves and flowers make this pattern easy to use on almost any color palette. Dark brown and black are used in this sample. This belt was constructed for the sole purpose of showing off rare sterling sliver and 14k gold conchos and accent triangles. Rare as in the fact the last time these conchos and triangles were made and used was in the 1930s. The longtime masters of silversmithing and engraving, R. Schaezlein and Son were kind enough to recreate these from their archives. The belt has small filigree accents of red lizard. This was a one of a kind piece of art, and the story behind the recreation is permanently burned into the back lining of the belt. Please feel free to contact me about making a new one of a kind piece. Classic mahogany brown belt with bright gold Karung snake background. Miniature black buckstitching on the edges of the belt. Light mahogany belt with green lizard background and dark brown miniature buckstitched edges. This color combination really shows off the "Clark Fork" tooling pattern. This belt was my pedestal entry in the 2005 Western Design Conference. Many people who attended the conference had never seen the unique combination of this fashion belt before. The edges are dark brown with a light tan center. Each flower center is inset with a natural cabochon of Lone Mountain Turquoise. The stunning blue turquoise is highlighted by the silver/gold snake skin background. The 2 1/4" wide belt is handlaced using kangaroo lacing. My favorite customer, Ruth Ellen, commissioned this one of a kind wearable piece of art. Challenging and fun! This waist belt was commissioned for the owner of Cayuse Western Americana in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I was given the opportunity to marry fine engraved conchos made by Jerimiah Watt with my renown filigree work. The body of the belt is a three-tone dark brown. I used gold snake skin to accent the flowing handtooled scrolls. I recreated a vintage Bohlin belt so as to accomodate the new owners waist size. The 21 Club buckle set is the original set worn by the owner of the infamous 21 Club of the 1940's and 1950's New York. I reused all of the 14K gold and ruby accents that adorned the original belt. It was an honor to be chosen to bring this belt and buckle set back into public view. I love the stunning accents of turquoise lizard in the background of this belt. I made this belt for my favorite bootmaker and good friend, Lisa Sorrell. The body of the belt is dyed in an antique mahogany, and the edges are laced with dark brown kangaroo lace. This dark brown belt is pure elegance. The soft flowing pattern is punctuated by bright gold snakeskin. The body of the belt is 2 1/2" wide tapering to 1 1/2" at the billets. This belt would be perfect for the fashion minded wearer. The color, shape, and size will remain timeless.	Boots The tooled leather tops are a perfect match for the cognac ostrich foot. Tooling patterns are as diversified as the wearer. Boots by William Shanor. Superior comfort describes these lace up packers. The “butter” soft water buffalo bottoms make these a second choice for bedroom slippers. Boots by William Shanor. These boots were specifically built to showcase the talents of William Shanor, of Mastercraft Boots and Shoes, and myself. The unveiling of these sexy knee high beauties took place at the Western Design Conference in Cody, Wyoming. If you look closely, you will see 2 very shy naked ladies hiding among the flowers. Tangerine orange ostrich was used to make the eye-catching boots anything but demure. A “shorty” lace up packer was chosen by this customer. The black calf bottom and the light mahogany tops make for a striking contrast. Boots by William Shanor. “Adam and Eve” This was an appropriate name for the second pair of tangerine ostrich lace up boots by Bill and myself. The top figure hiding in the floral tooling is Adam looking for his true love Eve. Boots by William Shanor. If you look carefully you can see that crushed green opal is used on the tooled tops. The emerald green accent stitching really makes these boots “pop”. Dorothy would have thrown rocks at her ruby slippers if she had seen these. Boots by William Shanor. If someone were to walk up to you while you were wearing these boots and ask what type of boots they were. You could answer by saying they are the “Top of the Mark”. Lisa Sorrell of Sorrell Custom Boots and Gallery was one half of the artistic team that brought these boots to life. Starting from the bottom are 3 colors of kangaroo on the most striking wing tips I have ever seen. The intricate braiding in kangaroo lace on each side of the boot took over 30 hours to complete. The three tone tops are filigreed with black lizard. Only the finest silver and gold accents by R. Schaezlein and Son of San Francisco, California were used to finish the elegant look of the boot pulls. Boots by Lisa Sorrell. If James Bond epitomized class and distinction then this pair of boots could be James Bond in leather. Only the finest American alligator and flawless kangaroo were used on the lower portion of this boot. Tooled American cowhide, burgundy kangaroo and sterling silver conchos brought this elegant look to climax. Boots by Lisa Sorrell. This boot sports a striking floral tooled wing tip. This wing tip is shown off by the matte black saltwater crocodile foot. The top of the boot is a masterful blending of filigreed tooling with 18k gold flower centers. The filigreed background is also matte black saltwater crocodile. Engraved sterling plate and 18K gold accents are the theme to the boots. Filigreed with black saltwater crocodile adn the finest tooling seen in decades, the owner of these one of a kind boots is still trying to rid himself of the smile on his face. Shown is a one of a kind matching belt. The ultimate in craftsmanship and art were combined in this Lisa Sorrell/Howard Knight boot. The light mahogany tooling and the striking black kangaroo accents made these boots stop traffic. The side seams required hours of careful hand braiding, but the results are worth the attention to detail. The pulls are accented with sterling silver and 14K gold tips and keepers made by Rob Schaezlein. The tooled collars and pulls on these boots are both subtle and striking. The light mahogany tooling adds flare and sophistication to the conservative styled boots. These were another pair of Lisa Sorrell built boots. Eyepopping character is exemplified in this pair of roper styled boots. I made the tooled tops for famed silversmith Susan Adams of Virginia. I incorporated on sterling silver spur rowel on each boot. Nearly all of the flower centers are inset with turquoise cabochons made by Susan just for her boots. These boots were a three-way collaboration between long time boot maker Willima Shanor, silversmith Susan Adams and myself.	Briefcases This finely tooled briefcase shows off a fine piece of Navajo silver. It is hand made from the bottom up. The interior is maple pigskin with kangaroo accents. The front flap is secured by 2 hidden snaps for ease of use. The hand-formed handle fits the curvature of your hand like a second skin. A refined and strong floral pattern is tooled and filigreed to make a bold statement. The background hints of a sparkle that is produced by using black lizard. The three tone coloring, accented by the black kangaroo lacing again speaks of strength and power. The interior is maple pigskin with kangaroo trim. A lap top and all the essentials fit nicely in this case. R. Schaezlein and Son of San Francisco created the sterling silver accents and buckle sets with 14k solid gold. This simple yet elegant valise was made for one of my favorite clients in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This valise is tooled to match a favorite pair of cowboy boots worn by the owner. The fine braiding highlights the warm rich brown tones of the tooling. The interior is equally outfitted. The use of maple pigskin and kangaroo accents will dazzle the viewer. Sweet cool wind of Sonoma comes to mind when I look at this briefcase. This case was made for a wine shop buyer and connoisseur. Keep a small amount of cheese, a bottle of wine and you have instant romance while making a strong bold statement. Be sure the wine doesn’t spill on the maple pigskin lining. It may not come out. This hand crafted briefcase was made for the renown boot maker/artist Lisa Sorrell. The filigreed tooling is complimented by inlaid cognac lizard. The delicate scroll work and flowers are dyed in a rich brown color. The engraved silver corner pieces and matching buckles were executed by Rob Schaezlein of San Francisco California.
Cycle Accessories Rally Harley Davidson 2011 Milwaukee was the debut for this seat and is custom made to fit a Harley Davidson Fat Boy model motorcycle. The main body of the seat is elephant hide which accents the fine tooling that makes up the rest of this rideable piece of art. The side skirts of the seat are painstakingly tooled in the finest American cowhide, and then a scalpel is used to cut out the background of the tooling. Karung snake skin is used as an inlay material to add depth and a “wow” factor to this brilliant seat. Almost any exotic material can be used on your custom seat. Furniture You have to know a little about the history of this sofa to really appreciate it. It originally belonged to the customers’ grandmother, circa 1900. It went from a red and gold fabric to the refined and tooled leather “grand dam” that you see now. I always say less is more. That statement rings very true for this project. The flowing and curved arms and strong flat base were a natural canvas for my tooling. If you have an idea; I can probably bring it to fruition. Rip Caswell bronze artist from Portland, Oregon and Jackson, Wyoming created this striking bronze of a cowboy and his best friend. I tried to capture the spirit of the west in the wild horses galloping across the open prairies. Each side is accented with a sterling silver horse shoe for good luck. This exceptional piece of furniture, turned art, hides the speakers and the plasma TV screen of an entertainment center. The cabinet is 11 feet long, 3 feet tall and 2 feet deep. Each tooled and filigreed panel took an amazing amount of patience and dedication. The leather is dark brown with a light cocoa suede background. The top edges are whip laced and white buck stitching accents all of the border area. This bar stool cover depicting the violent and possibly short ride of a Wyoming cowboy. The leaves and flowers are airbrushed in subtle tones and the top edge is laced in a rarely seen round braid.	Hat Band Black leather hatband incorporating pewter snake skin filigree background. Can be made to accent any color hat. Super detailing is shown off on this three tone medium brown hatband. The eye catching filigreed background is pewter snake skin. Can be made to accent any hat color or style. Big hat and a small hatband. This oversized brim needed a beautiful three tone dark brown hatband to pull of the complete look. I inset pacific ocean blue shells in the flowers. The background is pewter snake skin. You might see this hat being worn by Theresa at the High Noon Auction.

That is the word that best describes my take on the classic Kelly bag. soft tan bison body with striking tooled and filigreed front flap. The flap is a three tone medium brown with large saddle flowers and brilliant pewter background. The entire handbag is laced with kangaroo lacing. The interior is lined with Itlaian tanned kagaroo. I wanted to combine the look and shape of a typical saddlebag and the curvature and grace of a Martigale (breast collar) for this creation. timeless red roses accented by a burgandy lizard background complete the saddlebag/shoulderbag. The sterling silver accents were executed by Rob Schaezlein of San Francisco. Handbag of soft cowhide using a tooled front panel. The indian head is a beautiful accent.	Spurs These one half size spur straps compliment the exceptional detail of the miniature spur straps made by Ricarda McCleary Clause. Available at Cayuse Western Americana in Jackson, Wyoming. Whether riding for competition or fun, a pair of filigreed spur straps like these will turn people's heads. This pair has red lizard background and sterling silver buckles. Two tone light mahogany tooled panels with a fully lined black deerskin body make this vest a soft and comfortable experience to wear. This vest was made for one of my favorite clients in Northern California. The California poppies frame in a beautiful scene of the rolling hills and ranchland just north of San Francisco, California.
